Our Story

Shamokin Tree Care was established by our owner, Sue Abbott in 1975 and we’ve been providing quality tree services and emergency storm damage cleanup to St. Charles, IL, ever since. After more than 30 years of experience in this industry, our team is happy to share our knowledge of tree planting, biology, preservation, and more with our customers. We keep your trees looking lovely and bright by removing dead, diseased and unsightly branches.

We have a team of experienced professionals for tree care. They are efficient, honest and highly skilled in their work. We are fully licensed, bonded and insured to cover any damages that might occur during the tree removal or trimming process. Bob is very responsive and easy to work with. His crew drilled out a stump that another company failed to fully remove. Once that was done right, they planted our new tree. There was a lot of landscaping where the old tree sat and where the new tree was planted. They were so careful. None of the surrounding plants were hurt at all. Highly knowledgeable, he was honest and didn't up-sell or recommend pruning trees that didn't require the work, unlike many others I've spoken to. His crew, led by Frank, was prompt, courteous, and very careful while on property. I especially appreciated their communication while on site, to avoid over-pruning and manage expectations. The guys were friendly, and did an excellent job cleaning up afterwards. (Including raking all the leaves!) I highly recommend Bob's team, Shamokin is our tree care provider of choice.

Bob and his crew have been working on our trees for years. Every other year I have them come out and prune a very large soft maple in our yard as well as our large stand of spruces. They do a wonderful job and always keep the area neat and clean. Highly recommend them!

Bob and his men did a great job trimming my two trees. They were fast but efficient. Last year had an ash that we wanted trim but when they got up there it had the ash bug. Said we should cut down. We did so and this year called again because they did such a great job .
